Congrats and thanks.

A chapter in ICSS closed, and another chapter opened. Just want to thank Rajesh, Chongwai, Jiamin, Grace, Edwin, Marc, Joy and Liangwei for making my final year in London, in ICSS, a sojourn I would never forget. Meanwhile, congrats to Cumarran, Alfonso and your 24th elects who will take over the reins of ICSS.

I am going to plagarise what Edwin wrote. It reflected how I feel for Singsoc. We feel the same way and are passionate for the same things. Perhaps that's the reason for my endless tormenting of this poor soul who ever so often reminds me that I'm his JC Class senior, his roommate, his EE Senior, his Air Force senior, etc.

It feels like a dream now that this 1 yr is over. We've surely had our ups and downs throughout the yr. As an Exco i think we've really done a great job and made ourselves proud. All these would not have been possible without the help of so many ppl in our cohort. The seniors and freshers played a part in our success as well of cos but i still think that a lot of credit has to be given to our batchmates. For all the sai gang they have taken on together with us, all the support for our events, whether they are involved directly or not.

And to make this 1 yr really enjoyable, of cos there's our 23rd exco to thank =) Guess we've at least definitely achieved one thing tat we set during our very first meeting: we're all frenz at the end of the 1 yr =) Without the jokes and nonsense from Marc, i guess meetings wun be as fun~~ Raj and CW at the helms of the society, debating over the best solutions to problems =P Joy, being herself, and bringing joy to us~~ Not to mention being the great (favourite!! one and only =P) sports officer who clicks so well with all the sports ppl, organising so much stuff~~ Liangwei, as the webmaster and our ever-so-convenient photographer =D and for providing lots of -_-" comments during meetings hahaha~~ Jiamin for being the efficient secretary and effective arrow-shooter; Mamit is God-like!! Grace for giving her usual -_-|||| and doing magic with our money, cos everytime ask her for money also can one~~ dun noe how~~


A great yr has passed and well if given the choice, i wouldn't change anything. Not a single part of it, not a single person from the committee, not a single event (be it success or failure) that we chose to organise, not a single memory that we share. As Cumarran said, it really gives uni life so much more meaning than juz drifitng thru with mugging and tests. Looking back, it is really experiences like running Rojak!, cooking potato salad in the middle of the night, rushing out powerpoints till 2am and walking back in the rain, having meetings till dun-noe-wat-time, skipping meals for elections, worrying about the success of events, asking/persuading ppl to help out/buy tickets/turn up blar blar blar...

Maybe this is wat keeps Joseph, Marvin, Kaileng, PC and some seniors going even as they reach yr 3/4. Itz about wanting to re-live the experience, passing on the legacy to ppl who choose to walk the same path. Serving a community which has provided us with a comfort zone few hundred thousand miles away from home, and helping others who were like ourselves settle in and be comfortable with a new environment, a new phase in their lives.

Here's wishing the 24th ExCo all the best, hoping that they get the same if not greater support as compared to us. And hopefully our support can go to them as well. Hope to still see our exco ard cos now that we wun have the meetings to provide a reason for the 8 of us to get together, we'll almost definitely see less of each other... Hope this wun be true?? =P

Despite me being the only one from the 21st Committee left in IC this year, we kept in constant contact, meeting up whenever we could, and emailing each other during birthdays. That in spite of us being split over 3 continents. To the 23rd: Treasure the bond you made as a committee.
