I'm Excited!

Oh, not just because I am returning to London in about 11 days time, but there had been numerous things happening that got me pretty excited (and expectant) of the next year to come.

By the way, if you still don't know, I am flying on the 21st evening. Landing in London on the 22nd morning.

Oh, and Mid Autumn Festival at Hwa Chong Junior College later this evening. Not that I am going to meet many friends back there as a J-8, but the event still holds a particular significance to me.

RSAF is procuring F-15T Strike Eagle.

Don't bother looking up for F-15T. It does not exist yet. It is just the variant name given to the Strike Eagles unique to Singapore's Air Force. (Wonder why it is not called F-15S)

I had my doubts about the political rightness of buying this plane. It is simply too aggressive to fit into SAF's mission of being a deterrence force. For those who understand, F-15 is an air superiority fighter, capable of air-to-air and air-to-ground missions, and capable of launching up to 8 PGMs, including Anti-(radar) radiation-munitions. In the Iraq wars, this fella recorded almost 100% of Mig-29 kills without taking any losses.

But nonetheless, I am still excited by what this bird can do.

Charity @ Chen Su Lan Home

Coincidentally, Jia Hui (my cousin) used to stay at this home. We went down to the home early in the morning and brought the kids to Sentosa to play. We ice-broke, watched a magic show, made "identity scarves", and it was pretty heartening to bring a smile into these kids faces =)

We drove them down to the beach after lunch and let them play games (which reminded me somehow of a Sojourn Jr.). Even under the sweltering heat, I am very sure they enjoyed themselves. Even though I was pretty much dead tired after the event, having to run all over the place, I was very glad I did this.

Alright, my thoughts are in a pretty jumbled up state, so the things that are blogged ain't exactly in accordance to the flow of time.

UK BOUND 05

In my opinion, the committee did a great job - great club, great crowd, great deal. But I would have to apologise to my 5 friends I conned into going for UK Bound, because the club let us down in the music. Raj told me that they asked for Mumbo and R&B, but somehow the genre of the music was something I can't even put a finger on. Sorry guys..

Anyway, I am not the clubbing kind of person, with the exception of 2 cases - unless there is something that I really need to forget by drowning myself in alcohol, which happens very rarely; and unless it is UK bound. And yes Edwin, there is nothing wrong with not clubbing. I am proud in proclaiming that I have never been to Zouk at the age of 23. And yes, I am a Singaporean thanks.

So UK Bound, I went, sat, forgone my free drink, took a few photograhs with my phone, and left at 2230H. Loud music give me a spinning head, and I would rather not have to sleep out my Saturday at home with a hangover from loud music =P
