Nottingham Games 2003

Saturday was spent in Nottingham. Woke up early in the morning at 5 am and trotted down to catch the bus outside Beit Hall. Slept through the 3 hrs bus ride to Notts, only to disembark to a freezing morning. Its nice for a change of morning scenary from the usual city buzz to a tranquil countryside.

Went straight to the soccer grounds. The first round started out okie, but the next 2 was disastrous, since more and more of us are beginning to limp from injuries. Got knocked out in the first round, but that doesnt matter, cos we have had loads of fun playing with one another. As for the A team, they progressed all the way till the semis, where they met the eventual champions Aston. It was a close fight, but Chih Yang had to concede an unfortunate, lucky goal.

We then returned to the main sports hall for the rest of the action. We missed the Table Tennis finals, but no matter. By then, they have already clinched the Goal medal. We were in time to see the netball gals win the semis by 9 - 2, and then treated to a fantastic, high scoring finals where they narrowly lost LSE 20-17. I was sooo proud of ICSS then, when you see all the seniors and freshers alike cheering the entire team on. The spirit was definitely comparable to that I see in Hwa Chong. ~Proud~

Hung around the sports hall till about 7, before we boarded the coach bound for home. Tired, ubut satisfied =)
