First Weekend With Internet

Man~ I sound deprived, dun't I? =P

Anyway my internet was finally up on Thursday when Bingrong came to my place with the modem. Friday was more lectures and tutorials, and finally the looong awaited weekend arrived.

Saturday morning proved to me a slightly damp morning, having rained the night before. However, that didn't stop us from playing the first matches in the Singsoc league. Switched my loyalties to Zhenhao's team this time, which can also be referred as the SAFFC of London, since all the regulars are in this team.

The team proved to be a real strong team, and the opposing team was kinda forced to play the likes of a 1-6-0 formation. After trying to break through the human wall placed in front of the very small goalposts for half an hour or so, we finally opened the scoring, and won the match finally 3-0.

Played as an 'on loan' player for my old team after that against a sore, sportsmanship-less Msoc team. After about an hour of listening to them complaining, whining and witnessing the referee's rising temper, the inevitable happened. They managed to get one of our guys badly injured, and of all people, that happened to be me. Nearly thought it is going to be a bad fracture a week before I play in the Notts game. But luckily, I survived, and escaped with just a bad bruise.

Managed to limp my way to Russell square later in the evening to attend Hwa Chong Night. Despite the fact that last year's was definitely better planned, this years HC Night had the triumph card: a more poshy and classy hotel ballroom. Enjoyed myself, meeting up with old friends, singing the FARMiliar songs, limping my way through the mass dances etc. The warmth, the company, the joy. I would say that it is definitly a pity that some of the freshers refused to come. They are the ones who missed out a lot!

And now, its Sunday. Time to rest and mug and prepare for lab tomorrow. What a letdown conclusion right? Haha.. my concenses exactly...
